About Us

We are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to connecting and empowering the Latin American community in South Australia, while celebrating and sharing our rich and diverse cultures with the broader public.

What do we do?

At LASSA, we are all about bringing the Latin American community together and creating spaces to celebrate our culture. We’re here to keep our traditions alive and share what makes Latin America so unique, adding to the rich diversity of South Australia.

Our goal is to be a place where Latin Americans can connect, support one another, and feel at home. By coming together, we hope to strengthen bonds between communities and help everyone understand and appreciate our culture a little more.

Through our events, educational programs, festivals, and social activities, we’re here to share our music, art, food, and traditions—highlighting the voices and talents of Latin American people. Our mission is not just about preserving our heritage but also about building a more inclusive, respectful, and united South Australia for everyone.

At LASSA, we’re also proud to be a SETS (Settlement Engagement and Transition Support) provider, dedicated to supporting refugees and humanitarian visa holders in Adelaide. Our team is here to help individuals and families from these communities settle, adapt, and thrive in their new lives, offering guidance, resources, and a welcoming environment. We understand the challenges that come with starting over in a new country, and we’re committed to providing the support needed to ensure everyone feels safe, connected, and empowered as they build their future in South Australia
